The academic program at St. Anne School is designed to develop the most favorable spiritual and intellectual growth of the individual child.  Teachers, staff, parents, and students work jointly to ensure continual growth.

Our full-day preschool and kindergarten programs begin our students’ learning journey as we strive to educate the whole child.  Our students are exposed to developing social skills in these primary grades.  Our preschoolers also work with circle time, art, and learn to print letters.  In Kindergarten, lessons include phonics, math, reading, science, and social studies.

As the students continue their learning journey through grades 1, 2, and 3, their educational process is enhanced to build the strong foundation needed to succeed in this ever-changing world.

In grade 4, our students begin to experience the middle grades as they are exposed to individual projects in science and social studies.  The students work on group projects in reading and computer class.

Specialized instruction in the areas of science, social studies, mathematics, French, English, Reading/Literature/Vocabulary and Religion begins in grade 5 and continues through grade 8.

TechnologyTo meet the needs of all young people of today for skills in technology, Saint Anne School has two fully equipped computer labs with Windows platform and fully secured internet access: one used for grades K-4 and one used for grades 5-8.   Every grade has formal computer classes each week.  Students in grades 1-8 begin each year with a typing program.  Microsoft Word and PowerPoint are introduced in grade 3.  Individual and group projects begin in grade 4.  Microsoft Excel is introduced in the upper grades where students learn to organize graph data.  Projects enhance the other curriculums. Individual classrooms have computers used by students for special projects and internet access.  St. Anne School students access the internet via a USB adapter which must be issued and monitored by an instructor ensuring knowledge that the student is online.

Saint Anne School also has a rolling lab containing laptops with webcams.  These laptops can be used in the classrooms or loaned out to students who cannot attend class for an extended time because of health issues.  These loaned laptops give the student the opportunity to be part of the class while recuperating at home or in a hospital.  Webcams also afford the opportunity to communicate with other classrooms throughout the world.

Library - The Saint Anne School library contains many references, research, and pleasure books.  Students visit this library weekly for instruction in library skills, research, book selection, and quiet reading time.  Computers are now available for student use in research with monitored internet access.

Extended Curriculum - The extended curriculum incorporates events and activities within and outside the school day which foster students’ self esteem and self-respect.  Events at Saint Anne School include hands-on programs, cultural programs, school spirit days, and parent-student-teacher events.  Students are given the opportunity to participate in community service projects, soccer, basketball, and cheerleading. They may also serve on the year book and 8th grade video staff, and/or Student Council.  A teacher moderated after school care program is available to students in a structured atmosphere emphasizing academics and creative skills.  Many of our events and practices utilize our new gymnasium.

Saint Anne School is open to all children regardless of religious belief, race, or nationality.   Our mission is to create a happy and peaceful atmosphere where children will develop responsible values and a loving acceptance of all people.
