THANK YOU!

Sister Constance and the Staff of St. Anne’s thank you for your many kindnesses at Christmastime and throughout the year.  May your constant thoughtfulness be rewarded and may you and your families enjoy the Lord’s choicest blessings throughout 2012.

MAGAZINE DRIVE

Reminder: Please save subscription renewals.  The Drive begins on Wednesday, February 29, 2012.

MORNING DROP OFF

Thank you to all who are dropping off your children in the schoolyard on inclement weather days.  Again, you are asked not to drive up to the school and block traffic.  This is a public street.

IMPORTANT

(Please read carefully.)

Testing for grades 2 through 7 takes place from March 5 to March 16.   Please do not schedule appointments for your children during these two weeks.

MARCH MADNESS CALENDAR RAFFLE

Thank you to all the families that have returned their calendar money and to the families that have sold above the required amount.  We are hearing that the calendars are an easy sell!  Calendar returns are due by Friday, February  17th.  All families are expected to sell at least 10 calendars.  Any unsold calendars MUST be returned to school by February 17th.

SPECIAL MEAL DAYS

Please remember that the money raised from Special Meal Days covers the cost of bus rentals for field trips in the spring.  Students that have not participated in over half of the Special Meal Days will be required to pay their portion of the bus plus the cost of the field trip.

FOOD FOR THE HUNGRY

Students in grades 5 to 8 Computer Classes will be earning food for the hungry this semester.  If students complete their assignments before the “due” date, they will go to freerice.com and answer questions in French, English, Vocabulary, U.S. History, and Geography.  Each correct answer will put grains of rice in their “bowls” to be distributed to the poor through the World Food Programme.  Students will also keep track of their rice earnings and question levels, progressing higher and higher throughout the semester.

CONGRATULATIONS TO THE FOLLOWING EIGHTH GRADERS:

Drop off/Pick up Guidelines

These guidelines are intended to keep your children safe, keep traffic flowing, and accommodate staff arrivals.  Your cooperation will help us be good neighbors and will enable the drop off and pick up process to run efficiently.   Please be sure to share these guidelines with other adults who drop off or pick up your children.

Where are the designated parking areas?

· East Main Street

· Church Parking Lot

1. Yes, but do not come pass the Emmaus Center parking lot unless you have children in PK, K and Grade 1 (see #3 & 4 for clarification).

2. Use extreme caution should you choose to park in the Emmaus Center parking lot  since many students have to walk past the entrance/exit.  Also, please be considerate of others by not double parking or blocking other cars.

· Always drive safely.

· Do not stop on Day Street to drop your child or children off.  Rather, please park in either parking lot following traffic flow illustrated below:
